We are pleased to share some exciting news about a new fundraising progrm for our Parent Guild called "scip".  Scrip works while you shop through gift certificates from national and local retailers.  The scrip gift certificates are the same gift certificates that you buy at retail stores including popular retailers like Macy's, The Gap, Sunoco, Ruby Tuesday's and many more.

Scrip participating retailers agree to sell gift cards to the Great Lakes Scrip Center at a discount.  Friends and families of St. John's buy these gift certificates for full face value, they redeem them at full face value at the retail store and the school keeps the difference as revenue.  The scrip program benefits all involved:

• The retailer receives cash up front as well as repeat business

• Families and friends of St. John's receive a powerful fundraising tool that involves no selling

• St. John School receives a regular source of revenue

The beauty of scrip is that it is regular household shopping dollars at work. We earn mondy for our school without spending a single additional penny.  Just spend your regular shopping dollars with scrip at the stores that participate in the scrip program.  Scrip can be used for just about any household purchase including gas, clothing, entertainment and even dining out.
