Computer & Technology

Mr. Joseph Wolff

At St. John School, we recognize that computers and technology are not only essential tools of learning but enhance the educational experience of our students contributing to their academic success.   The Computer and Technology program is offered once per week to students in the K through 8th grades.  Each student is given a laptop during class to provide learning through hands-on experience .  For the younger grades, the class focuses on developing basic computer skills such as keyboard and mouse usage, internet browsing as well as basic application use.  As students progress to higher grades, the focus becomes more indepth as students learn more advanced skills including the use of search engines for research as well as the more advanced features of Microsoft Office 2010 applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
