St. John's School is a proud participant in the Orange County Parochial School League (“OCPSL”) Cheeleading Program along with 7 other members.

St. John’s School fields three separate Cheerleading Squads: a Pep Squad (usually comprising third and fourth grade girls), a JV Squad (usually fifth and sixth grade girls), and a Varsity Squad (usually seventh and eighth grade girls). Besides cheering for the school teams during the course of the season, each squad prepares for the end of the season competition against all the other OCPSL cheerleaders. This competition also takes place at Mount Saint Mary College in mid-March.  The cheerleading squads  have had wonderful success over the years at these competitions with Varsity capturing the Overal Grand Championship last year.
